LOS ANGELES -- Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been fined $50,000 by the NBA for sending a tweet that criticized the officials who worked last Saturday's 99-96 overtime loss to the New Orleans Hornets, according to a league source.
After the Mavs' surprising loss to the Hornets, Cuban took to Twitter and tweeted: “Im sorry NBA fans,” Cuban tweeted after the loss to New Orleans. “Ive tried for 13 yrs to fix the officiating in this league and I have failed miserably. Any Suggestions ? I need help.”
