PORTLAND, Ore. -- Former Philadelphia 76er superstar point guard Allen Iverson used his Twitter account today to state that he turned down a chance to play for the Frisco-based Texas Legends of the NBA Development League.
“While I think the D-League is a great opportunity,'' tweeted Iverson, "it is not the route for me.”
Iverson, 37, was the NBA Most Valuable Player in 2001, but hasn't played in the NBA since the 2009-'10 season.
