DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki has been fighting a bad bug for the past few days. But it's not something that will keep him out of Saturday night's home game against the New Orleans Hornets.
"Yeah, I’ve been a little sick,'' Nowitzki said after Friday's practice. "I actually had a little fever there before the Miami game (on Wednesday), but for that, I actually felt halfway decent.
"Or felt the best I’ve felt since I got back. (I'm) getting over it now, looking forward to putting
that behind me and looking forward to playing a good home game.''
Nowitzki has played six games since returning from arthroscopic right knee surgery he underwent on Oct. 19. And he's coming off of an impressive 19-point, 29-minute showing against Miami.
"I haven’t really had a good home game since I got back,'' Nowitzki said. "So hopefully I can show the fans that I can still play a little bit.''
