WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The last time the Dallas Mavericks were in Washington, D.C., they came here to meet President Barack Obama and receive their props for winning the 2011 NBA championship.
The Mavs left Dallas last Jan. 8, had a championship ceremony at the White House with the President on Jan. 9, and then flew to Detroit right afterwards and played the Pistons on Jan. 10.
During last year's lockout-shorten season, the Mavs did not play a game in Washington, D.C.
