DALLAS -- Shawn Marion collected 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 116-91 triumph over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night at American Airlines Center.
The Mavs are now 22-28 overall and 2-0 on this five-game home stand which continues Monday night when they host the Atlanta Hawks.
The Mavs used a torrid 17-2 run from the 6:05 mark of the first quarter to the 1:18 mark of the first period to go from being down 10-9 to being up 26-12. From there, the game was basically over.
Especially after the Mavs ran out to a 54-27 lead with 5:05 left before halftime.
Besides Marion, the Mavs got 19 points and nine assists from OJ Mayo, 18 points and eight assists from Darren Collison, 15 points and six boards form Dirk Nowitzki, and 11 points and 11 rebounds from Elton Brand.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 18 points and Carl Landry finished with 13 points.
Dallas led 62-36 at the half against the Warriors, who were playing their 10th game in 16 days.
