DALLAS -- Shawn Marion and Elton Brand tallied 17 points apiece and the Dallas Mavericks used a late surge to roll over the Orlando Magic, 111-96, Wednesday night at American Airlines Center.
It was the Mavs' first game in a week and first game since the All-Star break, and improved their record to 24-29.
Also for Dallas, Vince Carter had 14 points and eight assists, OJ Mayo scored 13 points, Dirk Nowitzki finished with 12 points and nine rebounds, and Mike James tallied 12 points.
Arron Affalo led the Magic with 21 points and Nikola Vucevic had 16 points and 13 rebounds.
The Mavs trailed 79-73 late in the htird period, and then went on a 38-11 run to go up 111-90 late in the fourth period.
Dallas, which led 42-30 after the first period, now hits the road to play at New Orleans on Friday before returning home Sunday afternoon to host the Los Angeles Lakers at noon.

With the win, the Mavs completed this five-game home stand with an impressive 4-2 record. The only loss on the home stand was on Feb. 11 to Atlanta, 105-101
