DALLAS -- That quirky one-legged off-balanced shot which Dirk Nowitzki has made famous? Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle believes it''s more infamous than a lot of folks think.
"I think he’s right up there probably in the history of the game just because so much of his game is
built on the ability to hit the off-balanced shots, the wrong-footed runner,'' Carlisle said. "And
these are things he practiced over going back to when he was 16 years old.
"He’s just an extremely unique player that way. So if you look at his career shooting percentage, which is very high and factor all that in, it makes his career even more remarkable.''
