DALLAS -- Brandan Wright came off the bench to score 11 points and collect five rebounds in 20 minutes for the Dallas Mavericks in Monday's game against the Atlanta Hawks.
But it wasn't nearly enough as OJ Mayo committed a pair of costly turnovers down the stretch and the Hawks escaped with a 105-101 victory over the Mavs at American Airlines Center.
During the previous three games combined, Wright had just six points and eight rebounds. But he effectively helped keep the Mavs within striking distance of the Hawks, who entered Monday's game with losses in three of their past four games.
"He scored some points and did some good things,'' coach Rick Carlisle said of Wright. "But this is not about one guy doing a few good things.
"We've got to be really tough, we've got to be really together. And we weren't tonight, and that was disappointing.''
