AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- With so many injuries and losing so many close games and overtime
games, this has been a very challenging season for Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle.
And that may explain why Carlisle used his 20th different starting lineup Friday night when the Mavs
beat the Detroit Pistons, 102-99.
“It’s been challenging on a lot of levels,’’ Carlisle said of this season. “But it’s the kind of season that has forced all of us to really stay focused, stay determined and look for little edges that we can find.
“There’s still a quarter of the season left, so we’ve got to stay with it and we got to stay in it.’’
