DALLAS -- Rodrigue Beaubois scored 18 points Friday and the Dallas Mavericks claimed a 96-86 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at American Airlines Center.
The Mavs are now 31-34 heading into Sunday's home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Cleveland led for the majority of the game and appeared on its way to upsetting a Mavs team that's in the midst of a playoff race. But the Mavs took their first of the game with 5:23 left in the third period when Darren Collison scored on a fastbreak layup off a feed from OJ Mayo.
From there, the Mavs steadily pulled away in the fourth quarter.
Beaubois had five assists and three rebounds and was a real sparkplug off the bench. Also for the Mavs, Brandan Wright contributed 13 points and five boards, Dirk Nowitzki had 13 points and 11 rebounds, Collison finished with 13 points and five assists, Mayo collected 10 points, and rookie Jae Crowder added a career-high 14 rebounds.
The Mavs shot 50 percent from the field and outrebounded the Cavs, 46-39.
