DALLAS -- Ready to take his spot in the starting lineup, Jose Calderon inked a four-year, $29 million contract with the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
The Mavs are expecting Calderon to be their starting point guard this fall. The free agent signee has averaged 10.1 points and 7.2 assists during his eight-year career.
Last year Calderon led the NBA in three-point shooting at 46.1 percent, and his 4-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio was second in the league.
