OJ Mayo has hit the proverbial jackpot.
According to Yahoo!Sports, the Milwaukee Bucks agreed today to sign Mayo to a three-year, $24 million contract. Mayo recently opted out of the final year of his contract with the Dallas Mavericks that would have paid him $4.3 million next season and gambled that he would receive a much bigger payday.
The gamble has apparently paid off.
In his only season with the Mavs this past year, Mayo averaged 15.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists and played a team-high 35.5 minutes per game. He also was the only Mavs player to play in all 82 games.
