DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks won't waste much time trying to digest coach Rick Carlisle's offensive and defensive schemes.
On the opening day of training camp on Oct. 1 -- that schedule was released today -- the Mavs will practice from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and again from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Following a single practice on Oct. 2 -- from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. -- the Mavs will again engage in a two-a-day practice session on Oct. 3. On that day the Mavs will work out from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
The Mavs, who will be working nine new players into their 15-man roster, will also practice from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Oct. 4.
Media Day is slated for Sept. 30, with the Mavs' opening their preseason schedule at home on Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. against the New Orleans Pelicans.
