DALLAS -- Fans of the Dallas Mavericks will have to wait until this weekend until they see point guard Jose Calderon on the basketball court.
In addition to missing tonight's game against the Orlando Magic, Calderon also will sit out Wednesday game in Indiana as he continues to recover from a strained left hamstring. However, he does plan to go through -- hopefully -- a full practice session Tuesday and play Saturday in Greensboro, NC., against the Charlotte Bobcats.
"I think I’ll be able to do more with the team (Tuesday),'' Calderon said before Monday's game against Orlando. "But if I start practicing (Tuesday), just playing in Indiana doesn't make any sense -- just going right away to full speed.''
Calderon has yet to play in any preseason games after injurying his hamstring during an Oct. 5 practice session.
