DALLAS -- Media availibility Friday for the Dallas Mavericks was about an hour later than advertised. That's because coach Rick Carlisle worked his players a little extra harder than usual.
"I’m not getting too happy about anything right now,'' Carlisle said. "We made improvements
in a lot of areas in the second (preseason) game.
"We’ve got to make improvements during this three day stretch of practice. And then Monday’s game is going to be another test for us.''
The Mavs blew a 23-point lead Wednesday at Memphis, but rallied to eke out a 95-90 victory. That came two days after Dallas committed 28 turnovers and dropped its preseason opener last Monday to New Orleans, 94-92.
Carlisle will work his troops again Saturday and Sunday before the Mavs host Orlando on Monday at 7:30 p.m. ar American Airlines Center.
