DALLAS -- After a horrible performance Monday night against the New Orleans Pelicans, Samuel Dalembert said he played with a back that had been bothering him since the opening day of training camp last Tuesday when a teammate fell on him.
But coach Rick Carlisle said Dalembert went through today's entire practice session with no problems, and expects him to be ready to play in Wednesday's preseason game in Memphis.
In the 94-92 loss to the Pelicans, Dalembert had four fouls in only 10 minutes and 46 seconds. He was woefully out of position on a few of the fouls and appeared to be several steps slow.
Carlisle blamed Dalembert's performance on his lack of conditioning.
