DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks trimmed their roster to 16 Tuesday by waiving four players.
Out the door and looking for work are center Fab Melo, guard D.J. Kennedy, and forwards Renaldo Balkman and Devin Ebanks.
The Mavs have until Monday to reduce their roster by another player and get down to the NBA maximum of 15. Since 15 of the 16 Mavs' players have a guaranteed contract, the likely player to get the boot is guard Mickey McConnell.
McConnell is the only remaining player on the Mavs' roster without a guaranteed contract.
