MIAMI -- Although he was mired near the end of San Antonio's bench and didn't play much, center DeJuan Blair still felt the pain of the Spurs coughing up Game 6 of the NBA Finals against Miami and subsequently losing the series in seven games to the Heat.
Both of those games were played in Miami this past June.
Blair will return to the scene of the crime -- the American Airlines Arena -- on Friday for the first time since the Finals. Only this time he now plays for the Dallas Mavericks.
And Blair had this so say about what happened to the Spurs near South Beach, when they held a five-point lead with 28 seconds left in the close-out Game 6, but miraculously blew it away.
"Forget June,'' he said. "I ain't worried about June.''
But Blair is worried about the Heat, who have LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and a host of other talented players at their disposal. And it's a battle of the past three NBA champions, with the Mavs having won it all over Miami in six game sin the 2011 Finals.
"It's fun, it's Miami,'' Blair said. "You go to Miami it's going to be a packed house.
"They're the world champs and they have everything that a lot of teams want. We've just got to go in there and play our game.''
