DALLAS -- Media members kept congratulating Dallas Mavericks center DeJuan Blair on the 10 points, eight rebounds and five steals he recorded Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers.
And Blair always had one final addition.
"Don't forget about my four.''
The "four'' Blair referred to were the four assists he also had in the Mavs' 123-104 blistering of the Kobe Bryant-less Lakers.
Blair also didn't want anyone underminding what the Mavs were able to accomplish against the Lakers, even though the Lakers were without one of the game's greatest players of all-time.
"The Lakers are still a great team, even though they are missing Kobe, of course, right now,'' Blair said. "But they still have great players and they are working hard with what they have.
"I just tried to go out there and play hard, have fun and do the little things right. I try to bring the energy off the bench.''
Blair had all 10 of his points in the first half, which ended with the Mavs nursing a commanding 67-48 lead.
