ORLANDO -- The Dallas Maverikcs made life completely miserable Saturday for Orlando Magic rookie guard Victor Oladipo.
At times it seemed as though Oladipo was moving too fast for his own good. The rookie wound up with 10 points and six assists, but also had a career-high nine turnovers which almost canceled out anything he did at the offensive end of the floor.
"We were aggressive in our coverage of Oladipo because we have a lot of respect for him,'' coach Rick Carlisle said after this team's 108-100 victory at the Amway Center. "And that produced a few turnovers.''
Oladipo had an answer for at least a few of his turnovers.
"I slipped, felt like I was getting hit a little bit,'' he said. "But the refs thought otherwise, so it's a learning process.''
