MINNEAPOLIS -- A lot of team bonding happens on the road in the NBA. The Dallas Mavericks just hope Saturday's lock-down 105-83 victory in Chicago was the start of them getting closer to each other.
The Mavs did just about everything well against the Bulls, including rotating at the proper times on defense for most of the nights. Covering for one another defensively is a huge staple in this league.
It's especially true when road games are involved, because of the crowd factor.
"We need to be better on the road,'' coach Rick Carlisle said of his team's 6-9 road record. "We don’t have a good record on the road at this point.''
The Mavs will get another shot at increasing their road record Monday at 7 when the face the Minnesota Timberwolves (15-15) at the Target Center.
