DALLAS -- Guard Devin Harris went through his first full practice with the Dallas Mavericks' veterans Tuesday and made some signifcant progress.
However, coach Rick Carlisle said Harris will not play during his team's two-game road trip when the Mavs face the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday and the Phoenix Suns on Friday, and also won't play when they host Portland on Saturday.
"Devin is doing good,'' Carlisle said. "He's getting better and better, and he's on the right path.
"But he's done evrything that he's supposed to and he's getting to where he needs to get. So we're getting closer and closer, but it won't happen this week.''
Harris underwent surgery on his left foot in August and has yet to play in a game this season. Carlisle, though, noted that he's encouraged by the progress Harris has made.
"He's moving,'' Carlisle said. "It's been a process where we've had to do a push-back and kind of restart (the date of Harris' return).''
