DALLAS -- Monta Ellis scored 10 straight points in the fourth quarter as the Dallas Mavericks snapped a four-game home losing streak with a 110-97 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night at American Airlines Center.
With the win the Mavs increased their record to 20-15 while becoming just the 10th team to win at least 20 games this season.
Dirk Nowitzki scored a team-high 27 points for the Mavs, Vince Carter popped in 19, Ellis finished with 16 points and nine assists, DeJuan Blair had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Jose Calderon added 12 points and eight assists.
Jodie Meeks led the Lakers with 24 points, Kendall Marshall scored 18 and Wesley Johnson tallied 17.
The Mavs will next play the Southwest Division-leading San Antonio Spurs at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
