DALLAS -- Back home in the friendly confines of their own arena, the Dallas Mavericks took care of business Sunday night at American Airlines Center, beating the Detroit Pistons 116-106.
But after a 1-2 road trip, the Mavs knew they weren't going to have an easy night against the Pistons.
"The first game off a road trip is usually the hardest one to get and we were able to get it tonight,'' forward Shawn Marion said. "It's a great sign, a great team win.''
The victory didn't come easy as the Mavs turned the ball over seven times less than nine minutes into the game. Overall, the Mavs had 17 turnovers which the Pistons turned into 23 points.
"It was a little chaotic out there at times,'' Marion said. "But we were able to buckle down at the end and get some big stops and make a run when we needed to.''
