DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion went through a second MRI and has declared himself "iffy'' as to whether he'll be able to play in Monday's home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Marion is still experiencing some soreness from the fall he had during a Jan. 7 game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The 15-year veteran missed four games with a right shoulder and upper rib contusions, then played eight games, but missed Friday's home game against the Sacramento Kings.
Marion said the MRI showed inflammation and contusuion in the same spots.
"'Every time I got contact or got bumped real hard (the pain) was there and it was hurting,'' Marion said after Sunday's practice at American Airlines Center. "I'm just waiting for this medicine to fully blown kick in all the way.
"I was able to really sleep a little bit better last night for the first time in a long time.''
