PHILADELPHIA -- With the Philadelphia 76ers making four trades which stripped them of five players going into Friday;s game against Dallas, the Mavericks knew this was not going to be a normal basketball game.
Especially since the Sixers dressed just eight players -- the NBA minimum -- for a game the Mavs eventually won 124-112 at the Wells Fargo Center.
"It’s the kind of game you have to adjust to the madness and the chaos that they’re trying to create, and they do a great job of it,'' coach Rick Carlisle said. "It's a mentally challenging game with (the Sixers') young and fast (players), and as hard as those guys were playing, they make a lot of things happen.
"But we hung in and got the win, which is great, and we’ve got to keep going forward.’’
