DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks aren't apologizing for beating up on some of the NBA weaker teams in order to build a pretty good resume. And they know they shouldn't apologize.
The Mavs are 10-2 in their last 12 games, and only two of those wins -- against Indiana and Memphis -- came against teams with a winning record. But the Mavs can counter the criticism by adding that their worst loss of the season came during this stretch when they got hammered by Charlotte -- a sub. 500 team -- 114-89.
"The thing is about the NBA is every night is a challenge because you don’t know what kind of team is coming in,'' Marion said. "Regardless of what the record is they're still capable of going and beating you -- it's been proven year-in and year-out.''
Marion noted that the Mavs biggest point of emphasis is just making sure they're all on the same page.
Marion said: "We’re trying to be really conscientious of what we’re doing on the floor and how we help each other, and it's starting to show.''
