PHILADELPHIA -- Despite the season-high 25 turnovers Dallas put up against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night, the Mavericks still had a terrific night shooting the basketball.
The Mavs literally got what they wanted whenever they wanted as they shot a sizzling 62.3 percent from the field in running past the Sixers 124-112 at the Wells Fargo Center.
“We had a bunch of guys getting good looks all night,'' said Dirk Nowitzki, who was 9-of-12 from the floor and tallied 25 points. "We did a good job getting what we really wanted.
"But its just the turnovers shooting ourselves in the foot there, especially there in the second quarter. Once we didn’t turn it over, we had some good penetrations.’’
The turnover total for the Mavs was one more than their previous high of 24, which they had during a 110-104 loss to the Heat in Miami on Nov. 15.
