NEW YORK -- Dirk Nowitzki drilled a dramatic 19-footer at the buzzer to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 110-108 victory over the New York Knicks on Monday night at Madison Square Garden.
The win enabled the Mavs to complete a 3-0 sweep of this road trip, which also includes victories over Philadelphia and Detroit.
Dallas is now 35-23 on the season and will next host the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday at American Airlines Center.
Its the second 3-0 sweep of a road trip for the Mavs this season. They also swept Chicago, Minnesota and Washington on the road from Dec. 28-Jan. 1.
Carmelo Anthony tied the game at 108-108 when he drained a 3-pointer with 50.3 seconds left following a turnover by Monta Ellis. However, the Mavs forced the Knicks into a 24-second shot violation and got the ball back with 10.6 seconds left.
After a timeout, Nowitzki was guarded closely by Anthony at the top of the key. Nowitzki, however, hoisted up the game-winner and the Mavs ran off the court.
Jose Calderon (20 points) buried a 3-pointer off a feed from Monta Ellis to pad the Mavs' lead to 106-100 with 1:55 to go in the game. Calderon then fed Brandan Wright for a bucket inside the paint and a 108-100 lead for the Mavs with 1:37 left.
Vince Carter led the Mavs with a season-high 23 points, Monta Ellis had 22 points and six assists, and Nowitzki finished with 15 points. Nowitzki's buzzer-beater were his only two points of the fourth quarter.
The Mavs led by as much as 14 points (38-24) following a 3-pointer by Wayne Ellington early in the second perid. But the Knicks wouldn't go quietly into the night as Anthony tallied 44 points to keep their hopes alive.
