DALLAS -- As expected, Thursday's Los Angeles Clippers-Dallas Mavericks game at Americna Airlines Center got a little chippy.
In all, five technical fouls were called, including ones on the Clippers' Matt Barnes, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, and on the Mavs' Shawn Marion and Monta Ellis. The techs which drew the most attention occurred when Marion and Barnes were jawing at each other -- nose to nose -- with 9:24 remaining in the third period.
The Mavs were ahead 65-64 when the skirmish occurred, but wound up losing, 109-103.
"I don't think it had a big impact,'' guard Devin Harris said. "The last time we played them had more of an impact.
"We played through some of the antics tonight. I thought we did a good job of just continuing to play basketball. We just didn't make enough plays to win the game late.''
