DALLAS -- Kevin Love did some serious damage to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night at American Airlines Center with his 35 points.
But so did Ricky Rubio.
The third-year point guard collected his third career triple-double and was a thorn in the Dallas Mavericks' side all night as he helped the Minnesota Timberwolves to a pulsating 123-122 overtime victory. Rubio finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists while playing 49 minutes.
"We couldn't contain Ricky,'' said Shawn Marion, who finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds in a losing cause. "Ricky did anything and everything he wanted to do out there.
"He almost had a quadruple double out there. He put on a helluva show out there and we couldn't stop him, and when we did get control of it, by that time it was too late.''
Rubio, who played all 29 minutes of the second half, also finished with four steals and was 8-of-12 from the field.
"I was feeling good in the warmups, so I said why not be aggressive in the game,'' said Rubio, who registered his second triple-double of the season. "We knew that Dallas was having problems when you push the ball and play in the open court.
"I was feeling good today and I just kept being aggressive.''
