SAN ANTONIO -- Tony Parker scored 22 points and handed out seven assists to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 112-106 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night at the AT&T Center.
The Mavs (36-25) have now lost two straight games going into Wednesday's contest in Denver.
One fhe key plays in Sunday's game occurred when Boris Diaw missed a jumper, then tracked it down with a minute left and the Spurs ahead 104-99. San Antonio turned that additional offensive possession into a driving layup by Tony Parker and a 106-99 lead with 45.2 seconds remaining.
Dirk Nowitzki paced the Mavs with 22 points and seven rebounds, Vince Carter tallied 21, Monta Ellis scored 17 and dispensed eight assists, and Samuel Dalembert finished with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Besides Parker, the Spurs (43-16) got 17 points and nine rebounds from Tim Duncan, and 16 points and seven rebounds from Kawhi Leonard.
