DALLAS -- San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker isn't concerned about playing just 13 minutes in the second half Saturday after he exploded for 17 points in 20 minutes in the first half of the 109-108 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
"The team is doing well so sometimes you don’t want to mess up the flow,'' Parker said. "Like I said (Saturday), I trust (coach Gregg Popovich's) judgment and whatever’s best for the team.
"Obviously yeah, I’ll be ready whenever he calls my name.''
Parker converted 8-of-13 baskets and collected six assists in the first half, but was only 1-of-5 with just two points and no assists in the second half.
"Game 2, I only played like 10 minutes,'' Parker said. "We were down 20, so I didn’t play the whole fourth quarter. Pop always does that.
"And (Saturday) I played like 12 minutes. It happens. I think it’s coincidence. I think it just happened because Game 2 was a blowout and Game 3 the team was playing well. I’m not really worried about that.''
