Johnny Benson won the pole for Saturday's Ohio 250 Craftsman Truck Series race at the half-mile Mansfield Motorsports Park. Benson will be joined on the front row by his Bill Davis Racing teammate Mike Skinner. Texan David Starr will start third, followed by Andy Lally and Texan Colin Braun.
Of note: Lally, Braun and sixth-place qualifier Scott Speed, who are all CTS rookies with varying open-wheel or sports-car racing experience, have apparently figured out how to go fast on one of NASCAR's shortest tracks. All three clocked top-20 times in practice, with Lally in eighth followed by Speed (13th) and Braun (17th).
