Just a friendly reminder for North Texas motorsports fans. Texas Motor Speedway is scheduled to host its second annual free to everyone Fan Fest on Aug. 19 (Tuesday) from 5-9 p.m. NASCAR stars Matt Kenseth and Jamie McMurray are scheduled to attend. They will sign autographs beginning at 6:30 and participate in a question and answer session. Free ride-along programs will be offered at the track and the Gin Blossoms are also scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Stay tuned to the weather forecast, however. As of Friday, weather.com was predicting thunder storms with a 40-percent coverage for Tuesday. No word from TMS (yet) on alternative plans to account for the weather.
All the festivities are scheduled to take place in the TMS infield, primarily in the south garage area. Free parking is available in the infield. Free admission tickets will be available at participating Minyard, Sack ‘N Save and Carnival stores, through CBS RADIO on-air promotions and at the speedway ticket office through the day of the event.
