Top Fuel: Larry Dixon earned his second consecutive No. 1 qualifying spot with a run of 3.886 seconds at a top speed of 308.28 mph. It was Dixon's 33rd top qualifying effort of his career and second at Gainesville Raceway. Dixon will face Winternationals winner Doug Kalitta in the opening round. Fort Worth native Spencer Massey qualified second at 3.908 seconds/307.16 mph.
Funny Car: Bob Tasca earned his first career No. 1 qualifying position in the class, powering his Ford Mustang to a 4.124-second run at a top speed of 296.76 mph. He will face veteran Jim Head in the first round.
Pro Stock: Mike Edwards raced to his second consecutive No. 1 qualifying position of the season and eighth of his career, with a 6.582 at 209.95 mph in a Pontiac GXP. He will face V. Gaines in the first round.
Pro Stock Motorcycle: Matt Smith earned his 15th No. 1 qualifying position in the class and first at Gainesville Raceway with a run of 6.945 at 189.44 mph on a Suzuki. He will face Kawaski rider Ryan Schnitz in the first round.
