Friday night at Kennedale Speedway Park it looked like Travis Rilat had the 25-lap ASCS Lone Star Region race won. As racing luck would have it, Travis had to pull out of the race with mechanical problems with only a few laps to go. Saturday night at Cowtown Speedway, Travis started the A feature on the third row along side current ASCS Lone Star Region point leader and local favorite Kevin Ramey. Matt Clevenger was the early leader, but about half way through the race, Ramey passed him to take the lead. Ramey was going for his third ASCS feature win at Cowtown this season. With only a couple of laps to go Ramey's luck changed. Entering turn two, Rilat had the inside position. As both Sprint cars went flying down the back stretch they bumped causing Ramey's car to roll and end up over the retaining wall. Ramey was not injuried and Travis went on to take the checkered flag. You can bet that both these drivers will be going all out in the 2nd Annual Cowtown Sprint Nationals, Oct. 9-10, at Cowtown Speedway.
