NASCAR fans who want to welcome the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America to North Texas can do so on Wednesday when the group of 200 motorcycle enthusiasts stops in Nocona. Texas Motor Speedway president Eddie Gossage and former Dallas Cowboys running back Herschel Walker are again participating in the charity ride, which raises awareness and funds for Petty's Victory Junction camp and other charities supporting chronically ill children.
The riders are scheduled to cover 502 miles from Amarillo to Texarkana on Wednesday and they plan to stop at the Fuel World/Shell at 1211 E. Hwy 82 in Nocona from 1-2 p.m. Nocona is about 90 miles northwest of Fort Worth.
