Sprint teams getting their cars ready for Friday and Saturday's races.

Cowtown Speedway (Kennedale) Oct. 7 (Thursday)
Cowtown Speedway held their first of three nights of racing with a practice for the 3rd Annual Sprint Nationals. Several race team took advantage of the practice time to make final adjustments for Friday's $1,000 to win feature with the top four finishers locked in for the $5,000 to win 40-lap A-Main Saturday night. Close to 200 cars have pre-registered for the event that includes ASCS2 Multi's, Non-Wing 600s, ASCS2 Restricted 600s, ASCS2 Midgets and raceTX.com Limited Modifieds. Over 50 Sprints have registered for this event including Arkansas' Tim Crawley, #88, a former November Sprint Shootout winner at Cowtown Speedway.
Schedule: Friday grandstands open at 5 p.m., racing at 7 p.m., Saturday grandstands open at 4:15 p.m., racing at 6:30 p.m. A Fan Fest will be held from 3 p.m. to 4:10 p.m.

Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale) Oct. 2 (Saturday)
Kennedale Speedway Park held their 4th Annual Showdown Friday and Saturday night at the 1/4-mile dirt track. A large crowd Saturday saw Waco's Paul White, #2, battle Jeff Emerson, #35, for the IMCA Modifieds A-Main win and the $2,500 prize. When the dirt had settled, Kevin Sustaire, #71, Chase Jupe, #303, P.J. Egbert and Keith White, #1, were your top five racers.

Jake UpChurch was the SportMod feature winner.
It was a big weekend, for Jake UpChurch, #24, in the IMCA SportMods. Friday he won the SportMod feature. Saturday he defeated the 22 car field to take the checkered flag and the $1,500 prize. Mansfield's Sean Jones, #24, J.C. Howell, Jay Bransom, #29, and Terry Pritchett, #20, rounded out the top five.
Dale Webster was the Sprint feature winner.
In the RaceSaver Sprints A-Main, Dale Webster, #12, lead flag to flag to pickup the win.

Duain Pritchett was the IMCA IStock feature winner.
The 2010 points champion Duain Pritchett, #22, continued his winning ways by taking the IMCA IStock A-Main. Shane Kicast, John Morris, #50, Damon Hammond, #116, and Aaron Ferrell, #31, were the top five finishers.
Eric Winnett was the Crate Models feature winner.
The 2010 points champion Eric Winnett, #21, was the Crate Models feature winner. John McNeil, #89, Charles Armstrong, #2, Justin McNeil, #1, and Rowdy Holbert, #44, rounded out the top five.
Calvin Williams was the Street Stock feature winer.
Calvin Williams, #11, from Crandall, Texas, was the Street Stock feature winner. Michael Sterling, #17, Jake UpChurch, #24, Ryan Powers, #R12, and Jimmy Parker, #21, the 2010 points champion, were the top five.
Allen Montgomery was the Hobby Stock feature winner.
Allen Montgomery, #38, was the IMCA Hobby Stock feature winner. Jeremy Carter, #25, Jeremy Montgomery, #11, Chase Neill, #52x, and Charles Cosper, #33c, were your top five finishers.
Bryce Pritchett was the Young Guns Shootout feature winner.
