Yello Belly Drag Strip (Grand Prairie)

The historic Yello Belly Drag Strip in Grand Prairie hosted the 2nd Annual Texas Nostalgia Nationals Saturday. The weather was beautiful as fifty-nine race cars competed for bragging rights. Several hundred fans had a chance to watch some exciting vintage racing and view some vintage automobiles.

Roadster Champion - Mike D'uva, Palmer, TX 1932 Ford

Competition Coupe/Sedan - Jack Weisenberg, Terrell, Tx 23T Altered

Stock 1965 -72 Champion - Robert Kozlik, Irving, Tx 72 Monte Carlo

Dragster Champion - Skot Ingram, Austin, TX blown flathead 64 FED

Doc Pilcher was the Gas-Coupe/Sedan class winner. 

Skot Ingram was the Dragster Champion.

This 1955 Chevy received some driver rear damage in a racing accident.

One of the more unusual race cars was this 1936 Ford A/G with a '58 Dodge Coronet rearend.
