July 2 (Saturday)
There were plenty of fireworks last night at Kennedale Speedway Park. No fireworks show, but a major wreck, cars on fire and competitive racing make for a very exciting evening. In the IMCA Modified $1,000 feature, six cars were involved in a major wreck on the front straight-a-way. Sam "Hollywood" Cox, #3, and Steven Orebagh, #05, seem to have gotten the worst of it. Steven ran over Sam and ended up on his top. No injuries were reported, but several cars received major damage. When the debris was cleared, current points leader Keith White, #1, defeated his running buddy Brandon Stewart, #2, to take the win. Mansfield's Glen Hibbard, #127, was third.
Steven Orebagh drove over Sam Cox.
