The Oil Medics ASCS Lone Star Region points leader, Matt Covington, #11c, won the ASCS Sprints A-main at the 1/4-mile Heart O' Texas Speedway Friday night. It was The Oil Medics ASCS Lone Star Region vs. Smiley's Racing Products ASCS Gulf Region Showdown presented by Life Partner's Inc. Thirty-five Sprint cars were on hand to compete for the 25-lap feature. Matt Covington started on the second row, and about half way through the race, took over the lead and went on to take the $2,000 win. This was the second regional ASCS Sprints feature win for Matt this season. Two-time Gulf South champion Brandon Berryman, #31, was second and a hard charging Travis Rilat, #29, was third. Eric Baldaccini, #4, and Channin Tankersley, #71, rounded out the top five.

A large crowd was on hand to watch the races.
Keith White was the IMCA Modifieds feature winner.
The IMCA Modifieds feature was shaping up to be a good one. Chase Jupe, #303, and Keith White, #1, started on the front row. On the first lap, going into turn two, Jupe had problems and was not able to finished the race. Keith quickly took the lead and was never challenged for the win. Ben Ketteman, #37, was second and Pat McGuire, #9, was third.

T.J. Green was the IMCA Southern SportMods feature winner.
In the IMCA Southern SportMods feature, T.J. Green, #55, was the feature winner. Kevin Green, #5, was second and Brandon Guerin, #sly1, was third.
Michael Gaunet was the IMCA Hobby Stocks feature winner.
In the IMCA Hobby Stocks feature, Michael Gaunet, #25, picked up his first feature win this season. Jeremy Oliver, #82, was second and Andy Roller, #63, was third.

Melvin Kemp, #54, was the winner of the Pure Stock feature. Cody Shaw, #9, was second and Weston Glaser, #15, was third.
Doug Andrews was the Street Stocks feature winner.
Doug Andrews, #1, was the Street Stocks feature winner. Greg Andrews, #8, was second and Bobby Mercer Jr. was third.
David Andrews, #8, was the Cruisers A-main winner. Russel Bullock, #1, was second and Dwain Wills, #24, was third.
The Twisters feature winner was James Cochran, #1. Tommy Hultz, #510, and George Clarkson, #44, was third.
