Bloggin' is Racin': Jake Upchurch IMCA Southern SportMods winner at Kennedale Speedway Park

Jake Upchurch was the IMCA Southern SportMods feature winner.

It looked like Kevin Rutherford, #9, was going to get his second IMCA Southern SportMods feature this season, but veteran Jake Upchurch, #24, passed him on the outside on the final lap to take the win in the 20-lap A-main event at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. Devin Burgess, #64, Tom Earl Jr., #46, and George Gafford, #70, rounded out the top five.

Keith White was the IMCA Modifieds feature winner.

Current points leader Keith White, #1, from Academy, TX, won the IMCA Modifieds feature. Glen Hibbard, #127, put forth a strong effort, but had to settle for second. Chris Elliott, #19, was third.

Shane Clements was the Racesaver Sprints feature winner.

In the RaceSaver Sprints feature, Bonham, TX, Shane Clements, #2, showed the Sprints the fast way around the track to take the victory. Ryan Hall, #79, was second and Jeb Sessums was third.

Keith White was the IMCA Stock Cars feature winner.

$500 was on the line in the IMCA Stock Cars feature. Current points leader Keith White, #1, took home the cash. Ryan Powers, #12r, was second and B.J. Dulock was third.

Bill McGee was the Street Stocks feature winner.

Irving, TX, Bill McGee, #6, was the Street Stocks feature winner. David Cook, #32, was second and Demetrius Carter, #44, was third.

Jeremy Carter was the IMCA Hobby Stocks feature winner.

Jeremy Carter, #25, was the IMCA Hobby Stocks feature winner. Jeff Kinnaird, #07, was second and current points leader Allen Montgomery, #38, was third.

Austin Carter was the Jr. Mini feature winner.

Austin Carter, #44, was the Jr. Mini feature winner. Garryt Bayles, #58, was second and Calton Pritchett, #22, was third.

The Pre Race Show with www.racinwithneal.com featured Steve Rutherford, #95, Kevin Rutherford, #9, and Brandon Stewart, #2. The Pre Race Show begins at 6:15 and features driver interviews, free color photos and autographs.
