Koby Barksdale, #22, from Norman, Okla, mentioned that he hadn't had much luck at Cowtown Speedway in previous races. But his luck changed Friday night when Koby, who started from the eleventh spot, worked his way to the front and passed Justin Melton, #11, with one lap to go, to pick up his first American Sprint Car Series victory in the 25-lap The Oil Medics Lone Star A-main at Cowtown Speedway. Michael Lang, Palm Harbor Homes sponsored, #14, took the early lead, but spun out allowing Justin Melton to take the lead. It looked like Justin was going to get the victory, but he had to settle for second. Ryan Beechler, #6, was third, Brandon Corn, #30, was fourth and Kolt walker, #45, was fifth. Local Kevin Ramey, #7m, was sixth.

It was great to see a good crowd back at Cowtown Speedway.
During intermission, several young men and women enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.
Nick Clinkenbeard was the Limited Modifieds feature winner.
"Quick" Nick Clinkenbeard, #66, held off a hard charging Troy Taylor, #56, to take the Limited Modifieds feature. Jake UpChurch, #24, was third.

A tire came off of Gary Fritchen, #99f, Limited Modified race car and went into the grandstands. Note tire in the upper right hand corner of the picture. Thankfully no one was injured.
Trey Smitherman was the Bomber feature winner.
Trey Smitherman, #96, ran away with the Bomber feature. Craig Withers, #77, was second and Larry Smitherman, #74, was third.
Keith Martin came in second in the 600 Mini Sprints feature.
Jeb Sessum, #01, a former Cowtown Speedway track champion, was the feature winner in the 600 Mini Sprints A-main. Keith Martin, #99m, was second and Chad Koch, #22c, was third.
Aaron Dromgoole came in third in the Restrictor Mini Sprints feature.
Morgan Roan, #14r, ran away from the competition in the Restrictor Mini Sprints feature. Christian Kinneson, #82, was second and Aaron Dromgoole, #p40, was third.
