Texas Motor Speedway wrapped up its Friday Night Drags presented by Scion tonight with a media challenge.
I had the pleasure of representing the Star-Telegram in the event, and fared OK (below you can see my view from the driver's seat). I opened the night by defeating TMS president Eddie Gossage in a close race, but then fell to Fox News anchor Kris Gutierrez in the semifinals.
But the other side of the bracket proved to be too strong. Hollie Huggins of ESPN 103.3 FM took the checkered flag and won the coveted "Media Trophy."
All in all, it was a good night, and a reminder that the AAA Texas 500 is less than three months away.
