Texas Motor Speedway held their annual Port-A-Cool World Texas Dirt Track Championship Saturday night. A nice crowd was on hand to watch three classes of cars, including the Limiteds, Modifieds and SUPR Late Models at the 4/10, semi-banked, dirt track.
For a few minutes it looked like Chris Brown was the winner.
In one of the most exciting races of the evening, Chris Brown, No. 3b, defeated his running mate, Kelley Shryock, No. 3, to take the Modified feature. A short time later, his car was found to be to light and was DQ'ed giving the win to Shryock. Zack Van Der Beek, No. 33, was second and Randy Timms, No. 5t, was third.
Kelly Shryock had the Modified to beat over the weekend.
Three time champion Troy Taylor put up a great effort, but had to settle for ninth in the Modified feature.
