Fifty USMTS Modifieds rolled into Heart O' Texas Speedway Thursday night for the first of three nights of racing. Mike Sorensen, No. 19, from Rochester, MN, started from the pole position and lead every lap in the 30 car, fifty-lap $4,000 feature event. Local Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88xxx, was second, Terry Phillips, No. 75, was third, Phillip Houston, No. 71, was fourth and another local driver Bobby Malcus, No. 4, was fifth.
The USMTS National Touring Series will be at RPM Speedway in Crandall Friday night and Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale on Saturday night.

In the Limited Modifieds feature, Dean Abbey was the feature winner. Rounding out the top five were No. 72, No. 1, No. 10 and Kevin Green, No. 5.
