It's not where you start, but how you finish. Brian Brown, No. 21, mentioned that he had a devil of a time at the Devils Bowl in the past. It didn't look too good Saturday night when he started from the fourteenth position in the A-main at the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVtv 39th Annual Summer Nationals. Even though he started from the back of the pack, Brian managed to get the devil off his back by working his way to the front to take the $4,000 prize. This was Brian's first feature victory at the historic Devils Bowl. Tony Bruce Jr. started on the front row and quickly took the lead in the 30-lap feature. Friday night's winner Wayne Johnson, No. 77, managed to track Bruce Jr. down and pass him. Coming on strong was Danny Lasoski, No. 1m, who managed to pass both drivers and appeared to have the car to beat. But with a few laps to go, Lasoski had mechanical problems and had to pull to the infield, opening the door for the hard charging Brian Brown to take the lead and the win. Friday's winner Wayne Johnson, No. 77x, had to settle for second, Tony Bruce Jr., No. 18, was third, Matt Covington, No. 11c, was fourth and Jason Johnson, No. 41 was fifth.
