Texas Raceway held there biggest show of the year the B.H.R.A. Nationals

Texas Raceway held their 10th Annual B.H.R.A. Nationals Friday night. The weather was hot, but there was a large crowd on hand to help remember drag racing legend Bill Hielscher. Bill was a national drag racing champion, promotor and track owner. This is Texas Raceway's biggest event of the year. Some of the highlights were Raymond Beadle's "Blue Max", Gene Snow's Nitro Burning A/Fuel Dragster, NHRA Champion John Hale, Jimmy Jones Outlaw Fuel Altered, Texas Blown Fuel Assoc., Gaylen Smith's Outlaw Pro Mod just to name a few plus a fireworks show. Early in the evening, Gene Show's Nitro Burning A/Fuel Dragster clocked a 201.59 mph at 3.69 seconds. That's really flying down a 1/8th mile track. It was a night to remember.

Lee McCullough defeats Dillion Pike for IMCA Modified win at Mountain Creek Speedway

Lee McCullough was the IMCA Modifieds feature winner.

Lee McCullough, No. 3m, defeated last weeks winner Dillon Pike, No. 6, to take the IMCA Modified feature at Mountain Creek Speedway Friday night. Sam Cox, No. 3c, was third, Destroyer Chassis Darryl Campbell, No. 83, was fourth and Marvin Skinner, No. 27s, was fifth. 

Mike McLaughlin, No. 715, ended up side down.

Jerry Hammock, No. 92, was the RaceSaver Sprints feature winner. Jason Howell, No. 44, was second, Jr. Jenkins, No. 23, was third, Derek Silvers, No. 29, was fourth and Ryan Hall, No. 79, was fifth.

Jake UpChurch, No. 24, won the first of two feature events. In the IMCA SportMods Archie Whitt, No. 76, was second, J.C. Howell, No. 103, was third, Michael Martin, No. 31, was fourth and A.J. Jenkins, No. 69, was fifth.

Kyle Lovejoy, No. 41, rolled his car in turn 3.

Jake UpChurch, No. 24 was also the feature winner in the Street Stocks. Mike McCoy, No. 3, was second, Robert McManus, No. 747, was third, Lance Hanson Jr., No. 5h, was fourth and Bill McGee, No. 6, was fifth.

Johnny Lowey, No. 46, was the Bomber feature winner. Leo Howell, No. 037, was second, Tanner Flannigan, No. 19, was third, Billy Burt, No. 118, was fourth and Doug Kile, was fifth.
