RPM Speedway - Texas (Crandall)
September 4 (Sunday)
The Annual David Pope Memorial Race was held at RPM Speedway Sunday night in Crandall, TX. A large crowd was on hand and over 150 race cars competed in four different classes. The featured class was the Texas Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS). A good field of forty-two TOMS Modifieds were in the pit. In the TOMS 30-lap, $2,250 to win, twenty-four cars started the feature. Current TOMS points leader Triston Dycus, No. 14t, worked his way to the front and held off the field to take the feature win. Mike Dillard, No. 66x, had a good run for second, Hard Charger Chase Allen, No. 149, was third, Phillip Houston, No. 71, ended up fourth and Colby Smith, No. 1, was fifth. Veal, T. Egbert, Thomas, Jones, and Dunn Jr., rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Sprint Feature Winner: Raven Culp, No. 3, cruised to victory in the Sprint $1,000 to win, 25-lap feature. Tucker Doughty, No. 2x, was second, Justin Fifield, No. 49, had a good run for third, Marcus Thomas, No, 15t, was fourth and Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was fifth. Debrick, Henderson, Carter, Baccus, and Fry, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

USA Limited Modified Feature Winner: Kevin Rowland, No. 4r, held off Day Motorsports to take the $1,200 to win, twenty-five lap feature. Rowdy Day, No. 20d, and Jimmy Day, No. 23m settled for the second and third place spots. Rickey Haney, No. 99h, was fourth and Tommy Davis Jr., No. 17, was fifth. Newhard, Sigman, Lorenz, McCall, and Rabozzi, rounded out the top ten. Twenty cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Tommy McKinley, No. 71m, made it look easy. Tommy took home the $1,000 to win, 25-lap Kustom Craft Exhibits & Hardy's Auto Care feature win. Coming in second was Chris Davis, No. 98, Mike Marusak, No. 45, was third, Phillip Smith, No. 630, was fourth and Jeff Sonntag, No. 73, was fifth. Gatlin, McFarlin, Smith, Wilkins, and Morphis, rounded out the top ten. Twenty cars started the feature.
